About NT Studio

NT Studio is a mobile voice and performance studio led by professional artists Nicole Leung and Tayte Mitchell, offering integrated training in vocal technique, performance, and dramatic interpretation. At NT Studio, students benefit from a collaborative, shared perspective approach to vocal training. Even when working primarily with one instructor, teaching is shaped through ongoing collaboration and consultation between Nicole and Tayte, giving students the insight and support of two working artists throughout their development.

As a mobile studio, NT Studio is not limited to one-on-one lessons. We bring our teaching into the spaces where singers learn and perform, offering private lessons, workshops, masterclasses, group programs, and customized vocal and performance training for schools, arts organizations, and community groups. Whether working with an individual singer or an entire ensemble, we adapt our programming to meet the needs of each student, group, or institution.

With combined experience in vocal performance, teaching, and stage direction across Canada and the United States, Nicole and Tayte strive to work with singers of all ages, levels, and backgrounds to build healthy technique, artistic confidence, and meaningful connection through music. Whether you’re looking to prepare for an audition, develop a choir, explore performance and drama, or simply feel more confident at karaoke night with your friends, we are here to help you!

Given the vulnerability that comes with singing, Nicole and Tayte prioritize creating an environment that is encouraging, supportive, and judgment-free. We currently offer lessons in person throughout the Greater Calgary Area and worldwide online, while our mobile programming allows us to bring workshops, masterclasses, and group instruction directly to schools, organizations, and other community spaces.

What to Expect and How It Works

Private voice lessons are tailored to fit each individual student’s needs. Unless otherwise requested, they will always adhere to the following structure:

  2. Musical Exploration and Preparation

For those seeking deeper character work and are at an intermediate-advanced level, we strongly recommend dramatic coachings offered by Tayte Mitchell. Focus areas include:

  4. Advanced interpretation for scene work, arias, art song and contemporary music
